Kinder Morgan sued for Back Wages

Kinder Morgan is being sued for more than $1 million for overtime compensation owed to approximately 4,500 current and former employees.  According to the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Kinder Morgan Inc. and Kinder Morgan Energy Partners LP violated the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) when they failed to pay operators, technicians, maintenance workers, laborers and administrative employees for overtime.

The suit was filed after an investigation completed by the DOL found systemic violations nationwide.

Kinder Morgan Inc. is one of the largest pipeline transportation and energy storage companies in North America, providing services to local oil refineries.
